Clearer Skin, Calmer Confidence

Acne Care with a Medical Touch

From Breakouts to Balance

Merrion Acne Treatment Program in Oakville – A Gentle, Medical Approach to Clearer Skin

Acne can affect both skin health and confidence—whether you’re dealing with ongoing breakouts, lingering marks, or early textural changes.

The Merrion Acne Treatment Program at Merrion Medical Aesthetics is a structured, doctor-led series designed by Dr. Kate Healy to help:

  • Calm active congestion and breakouts

  • Fade red and brown marks left behind

  • Support smoother texture and early scar prevention

Across four carefully planned sessions, we combine laser resurfacing, targeted serums, and infrared phototherapy to guide the skin from reactive and inflamed toward clearer, calmer, and more resilient.

What Is the Merrion Acne Treatment Program?

This is a 4-session in-clinic treatment program specifically tailored to acne-prone skin.

Rather than a one-off procedure, it is designed as a progressive pathway that:

  • Gently resurfaces the skin

  • Delivers active serums through laser-created microchannels

  • Supports healing and recovery with infrared light

Each session builds on the last, with a clear focus: calm, brighten, repair, and refine.

How the Merrion Acne Treatment Program Works

Laser Resurfacing

Gentle laser treatment is used to:

  • Clear congestion and help keep pores more open

  • Refine texture and the look of enlarged pores

  • Gradually soften marks from past breakouts

The resurfacing is carefully controlled, aiming to support skin renewal without overwhelming sensitive, acne-prone skin.

Targeted Serum Delivery

During treatment, the laser creates tiny microchannels—invisible pathways that allow serums to reach deeper into the skin than with normal application.

These serums are specifically chosen to:

  • Calm inflammation

  • Strengthen the skin barrier

  • Support repair, renewal, and long-term resilience

Across the four sessions, Dr. Kate uses Resveratrol, Vitamin C, and Vitamin A at different stages to match what the skin needs as it settles and rebuilds.

Infrared Phototherapy

Each session concludes with Infrared Phototherapy, a relaxing light treatment that:

  • Supports gentle healing after laser resurfacing

  • Helps reduce inflammation and redness

  • Enhances the overall results of your treatment

Patients often describe this as the “soothing” stage of their visit.

Acne Program Treatment Areas

Active Congestion & Breakouts

By gently resurfacing the skin and supporting clearer pores, the program helps reduce ongoing congestion and supports calmer, more balanced skin over time.

Red & Brown Post-Acne Marks

Red and brown marks that remain after a breakout can linger long after the spot has healed. Vitamin C–based sessions in the program work to brighten and even skin tone, gradually softening the appearance of these marks.

Texture & Early Scar Prevention

Repeated breakouts can leave behind uneven texture and early textural change. Laser resurfacing and Vitamin A support skin renewal and smoothing, helping to reduce the risk of early scarring.

Skin Barrier Support & Resilience

Acne-prone skin is often over-treated. By integrating Resveratrol for anti-inflammatory, barrier-supportive care, the program also focuses on making the skin more robust and comfortable in the long term.

The Merrion Acne Treatment Program is designed for gradual, meaningful improvement, not overnight change.

Before / After

Over the course of four sessions and with appropriate skincare, the aim is that your skin:

  • Appears calmer and less inflamed
  • Shows fewer visible marks from past breakouts
  • Feels smoother and more even in texture
  • Becomes more resilient and less reactive over time

Individual results vary, and ongoing homecare is an important part of maintaining progress.
